At ANT we have our own company employed engineers who are responsible for all installation work, testing and commissioning. It is at the installation stage that all the excellent design, specification and procurement work carried out can fall down. Our Project Managers ensure our on-site teams are fully briefed. Our documentation and detailed technical specification makes certain there is no room for error. This is why we have an enviable reputation for getting it right. Liaison with shipyard staff, other contractors and our hands-on management style is an integral part of our installation, testing and commissioning system.

Installation
Throughout the on-site build programme we ensure our engineers are aware of the need for system reliability, high standards of workmanship and the requirement to integrate with other contractors and installation teams. We use quality materials throughout the installation process and have an ethos of being individually responsible for the safe, effective and reliable working of the equipment we install. We also conform to domestic and international health and safety regulations and safe working practices. Our job is to ensure all installation work confirms to specification and project timelines.

Testing
We use industry approved methods and diagnostic techniques to ensure products are fully and rigorously tested. For example we bench test systems before installation reducing the number of problems we face on-site. We also invite clients and / or shipyards to see their equipment working before it is installed. On-site testing is carried out to systems, infrastructure and products and these are fully documented to ensure quality standards are met. Results of testing are communicated to all parties and any contractual requirements for testing are accompanied by all necessary documentation.

Commissioning
For our marine clients Harbour and Sea Acceptance Tests give us the opportunity to check and commission all equipment in working conditions and this can be demonstrated to the owner, captain and shipyard team. Harbour tests are carried out whilst moored, whilst sea tests are actually carried out at sea under seagoing working conditions. For our land-based projects we carry out similar commissioning and testing on-site. Any equipment set-up or adjustments can be made at these stages to ensure equipment and systems are fully operational. A process of handover is then carried out once everybody is satisfied everything is working.
