Satellite

• Miwan V Sat Service – providing permanent IP communication including VoIP, internet and fax connection worldwide.
• Inmarsat – a range of systems to suit individual customer’s needs offering global satellite communications for voice, data and fax.
• Iridium – fixed, mobile and personal voice, messaging and data systems using a network of polar orbiting satellites.

Terrestrial

• GSM@Sea - using your personal cellphone/mobile whilst outside normal GSM coverage areas, extending the land based GSM service to your yacht.
• 3G/GPRS – a mobile data service for personal cellphone/mobile users that allows internet access whilst at sea.
• GSM and 3G/GPRS Sim Cards – ANTlink supply new SIM cards or pre-paid cards to allow users access to the GSM and GPRS services whilst on-board.

Information Technology

An important part of a superyachts management system. It is the backbone of all the on-board systems whether it is vessel management or passenger/crew services.

When it comes to owners their requirements are different to the vessels operational needs. Owners require data and Internet access as well as VPN access to their corporate networks. The operational side needs server based storage with back-up, Internet and data access as well as system management software. Both, of course, require security and protection. There is an element of IT in most products and services offered by ANT.

The following are also identifiable stand alone IT products. Information Technology is part of the Communications and Data product group.

• Internet Service Provider (ISP) - this includes actual Internet Service Provision allowing access to the internet and ANT mail, which is a personalised email service. We also provide domain name purchase, website hosting and even a web design and management service, ideal for the charter market.
• Network Services - a wide range of network solutions, from local on-board networking to VPN links to corporate networks shore side.
• Storage solutions - rather like their shore based counterparts, modern on-board systems need to store larger and larger amounts of information securely. Equipment also needs to be able to cope with the rigours of operating at sea.
• Software - as well as handling the requirements of an operational yacht, IT software needs to deliver the owners, guests and crews needs as well. ANT can design or customise programs to meet these needs.
• Recovery - whether it is system downtime, connectivity issues or disaster recovery ANT’s IT engineers can get your system back up and running.
