Award Number Two for Hull Company
Advanced New Technologies Limited or ANT
as they have become known, have just added a second 2008
Queens Award for Enterprise to the one
the group won in 2005. This Award is also for International
Trade and coincides with the companies major growth over
the last three years.
“Getting the last award was tremendous
enough,” said
Steve Puckering, Managing Director “But getting this
second one is just brilliant. It’s recognition of all
the hard work that all our staff have put in, here at our
Hull office, and elsewhere in the UK, Europe and the USA”.
ANT’s business is based around
groundbreaking technological innovation in the luxury yacht
and residential markets. The company offers a wide range
of products and services covering Entertainment and Control,
Communications and Data, Integrated Bridge and Navigation
and Security Systems. They are quickly becoming one of the
worlds leading specialists in technology applications to
the marine leisure industry.
This award recognises this achievement.
The Queens Award is the most coveted commercial recognition
a business can receive. The Awards started in 1966 as the
Queens Award to Industry but have now been renamed to take
in all sorts of organisations. Awarded every year on the
Queens Birthday, later
this year Steve and two members from his team will attend
a reception at Buckingham
Palace hosted by the Queen to recognise their achievements.
“This award is particularly well timed as last October we
celebrated our 20th year in business” continued Steve “So
this is a great 21st birthday present! We started with two
employees and now have 102, a number of who are located overseas.
Our customers are based around the world and we are a truly
international company. We have offices here
in Hull, Southampton, the South of France, Holland and our
most recent opening in the US. As well as our global expansion
ANT have increased turnover by 50% over the last three years
and this year we should achieve £11million
in sales and reach double digit profit figures”

success in International markets and in particular our expansion
into Europe. This award is the ultimate recognition of our success, not just
for us, but for our suppliers, advisors and of course customers”
When asked about the future for
ANT Steve’s response
was immediate ”More of the same. We have just opened
our US office and America is a huge market with lots of potential
for ANT. We are also looking to expand our activities in
the residential market around the world. By 2010 we are hoping
to take turnover closer to the £20m
mark, improve margins and of course win our third Queens
Award!”
